As I've said before - a backbeat, narrow and hard to master. We have constructed pyramids in the honour of our escaping. Good stuff, the WASP.

Read the kanji - very good!!!! The only problem is that I can't work out how to enter the little tsu that indicates a pause. That and the fact I don't know many of the the characters.

I just heard that Geordie Hunter - a fine Newcastle singer - died last week of swine flu. He had MS and his immune system could not cope. Very sad. Sing a few verses of the Kielder Hunt in his memory or perhaps the Old fisherman's farewell to the Coquet.

I won't glorify the ridiculous new name for Jt James Park by even mentioning it. But the nufc forums will be worth reading tonight I bet.

Oooh, I thought they were going to land an air ambulance on the new platform right on a line with my window, but no, they've landed in the park.

Watch this video and note where the guy emphasises the family orientation and fun over the two guys blasting away with machine guns.....

Machinarium - fun if you like this kind of thing. I don't particularly it turns out - not enough patience.

Dunston Rocket - it probably needs to go but I will miss it. (Like the Get Carter car park)
08:44:30
Why not a game called Folk Band - you could have all kidns if interesting controllers : an Irish chanter where you got more points for cranning and things like that.

Now, I though that I kept fairly in touch with what was going on on the web, certainly more than most people, but I went and had a look at this list of what apps "VIPs" had on their iPhones and I thought "who the hell are these people?". Sure, I recognise a couple of names, but the rest, not a clue. By what definition are they VIPs?

Just had a great weekend in the Lake District - glorious day on Saturday, went up Wetherlam, but managed to come down the wrong way so ended up walking rather further than we meant to... Went Fellini's for dinner afterwards - highly recommended, do go if you are in Ambleside and want a great veggie meal.

the
Slo-mo bullets thing that everyone has been linking to is very clever but it really could do with a good edit - it gets quite dull quite quickly.....

Mrs Rivets went down to the kitchen this morning to find that the cat had brought in a fish! Pigeons, rabbits, mice, yes, but never a fish before. A fresh, ungutted fish (partially eaten of course by the cat) Very odd indeed.

Ploughed my way to the end of Colin Bateman's Mystery Man and am now entirely perplexed by the ending. Not a clue what is meant to have happened. (There are some funny bits bit in it but overall really not worth effort - it certainly isn't hilarious)

The wave invitations came and have gone I'm afraid. If I get more I'll say

30 September 200921:35:30
No sign of any invites over at google wave so I may not have been allocated any. I will let y'all know if any do come through.
17:04:30
I haven't checked yet but I suspect I will have Google Wave invitations if anyone is desperate for one.

Does anyone recall where the *third* Giant Steps visualisation is on the net? Not the Meyer Levy one, not the youtube one - this one was a key centre visualisation done in flash. I can't find it anywhere.

28 September 200923:06:28
We spent two hours working on Giant Steps tonight so my brain is going da da deee da da. da da DA........

Dating sites are getting more specialised - rather coyly advertised on TV. (OK, I know there are lots of speciakised dating sites, but this one seems to be a bordering on fetish - the TV ad makes no particular mention of the military singles aspect)

I do like Chuck Klosterman, but I also have to say that I can't get excited about all this Beatles stuff, particularly the later records which I have never really liked. I do like the early stuff, probably because it is all embedded in my brain from being played so much during my childhood. But I'd rather listen to Chet Baker.

8 September 200909:36:08
I remembered to create a new volume
