I've added Ahoy to these pages, but it doesn't do anything useful yet. (And possibly never will)
Nice eclipse photos - I didn't wake up so I didn't get the chance to see what was visible from here.
Sorry about the silence but I am currently working as an undercover trilateral commisioner for the Illuminati. I will be overcover (abovecover, oncover, which is it?) soon with exciting stories of new Bifurcated Rivets tins and I might even get the comment adding system in place too.
Go to google.co.uk, type french military victories and hit the [i'm feeling lucky] button.....
Charisma Man - this looks as though it might be excellent. Need to see if there is a website...
If you are seeing the GIF based favicon for this page then you might have noticed that it has changed colour. I'm trying to make it look more coppery coloured....
I'm sure this panorama from Everest is on everyones weblog, but it is still excellent. (Needs QT5)
Online Fashion Show - Internet Explorer, Windows only, needs the Adobe Atmosphere plugin. But given all those negatives, it's interesting.
Nice picture of Morro Bay, however I have a feeling that it is being rather selective with the reality of the place as it seems to have eliminated the rather grubby town! (At least that's how I recall it)
Hmm, over at Pole Shift Prepare there is a distinct shuffling of feet, and embarassed blushes, however they are still saying 27th May.
Building a super calf hutch. Something I am sure you've all wanted to do from time to time. I know I have. (Is a super calf where super man gets his veal?)
Meet the Tiger - I'd like a copy of this as it's an excellent read. They used to be two a penny in secondhand book shops "when ah were a lad" but now they are collectors items. *sigh*
I'm surprised that people didn't try and give the UK Eurovision entry negative points - it was one of the worst performances I have ever heard, the girl particularly sang the whole thing entirely in the wrong key. Awful.
I have to link to this Zen Garden page which I got from Wibbly Weblog. It's a technical tour de force.
I have been reading Dr Reimann's Zeroes , hence the maths stuff. It's a good read if you like that kind of thing.
Blog name generator and it was inspired partly by the name Bifurcated Rivets too. There are some brilliant ones that come up - wholelottamalapropism, sparkling traffic (that's wonderful!), quixotic flotsam. Well done Chris!
Look away now of you are easily shocked, but if you want to audition for Puppetry of the Penis this page might be useful
Someone from some IT magazine that I put in the bin just phoned me up to confirm my subscription and I refused to give him my email address. This entirely fused his script and he didn't know how to handle it. I think (hope!) that he has unsubscribed me.
It seems to be the done thing to support commentaries on log entries these days and even wiki like things. I wonder of I ought to do that?
The WKSU Folkstream - folk music 24 hours a day. Some good stuff, though there is some dubious stuff as well (Clannad), and I am not sure I like the commentary much.
Smelly Neighbors Interested in Furthering Friendships - I really have no idea what this is about at all.
Brothers Judd - hmmm, not sure what to make of this. Lots of US Imperialist thinking in evidence though
Just down from the old bridge in Heidelberg, you'll find Vetter - it sells good beer brewed on site (including one that is claimed to be the strongest beer in the world) and has OK food. Nice atmosphere.
If you ever go to Heidelberg, let me recommend the Weisser Bock. Good rooms, fantastic restaurant!
A page made by a very angry person. I am not sure quite what he is angry about but he is angry at a lot of people.
Traffic Island Disks - fantastic idea. (Of course you probably have to be a Brit to understand the reference in the name, and it's spelled "discs"!!!!)
They are wobbling at poleshiftprepare - "Only 1 to 9 days left until the earth possibly stops rotating" Note that the photo of Planet X they had was (as the rest of us knew) a hoax.
This is not heartwarming, its just icky. But, you can watch it on video if you really want.
I've always wanted one of these. Check out the price though - and I would definitely want one that played 78s.
"Are you down with the lingo that kids use today? Don't get caught using the old school words that just don't fly! Get up to date quick with Jonathan's Dictionary!" I can just see all those trendy vicars boning up on this stuff so taht they can communicate with the youth of today.
This really will offend. Really bizarre and unpleasant. (but I guarantee that you would never in a million years come up with the concept)
So which is it : "'Mr. Personality' proves attractive" or "Viewers spurn 'Mr. Personality'" Sounds like one of the worst ideas for a program ever.
Unintelligence test. I got 82%, making me "resourceful, sly, and guaranteed to get away with everything"
gryf/slyth: a collection of slash links. Odd, very odd (adult, though I might actually debate this designation)
Now, if this were a DAB digital radio this would be a must have. (You can get a DAB radio and MP3 player combined, so we are nearly there. All I need is to be rich)
Slightly odd interface to a Homeopathic remedy finder. Looks as though it is generated straight from a materia medica without any attempt to make it user frienldy.
I want some of the Cork of Popularity. What a great name for a book or a band or something.
A neat idea except that I am tall enough that my head sticks out above the seat (well in the sort of seats I can afford any way)
I just learnt some amazing stuff about buffalo in a book I am reading but am too lazy to pass the information on. Quite remarkable though.
The bid-up TV collectables page. Have a look at some of them and then hope that you never have to go to the house of someone who owns any of them.
Did I mention that I am entirely addicted to watching Bid-Up TV - they have the campest presenters you have ever seen, and they sell the most unutterable crap. Compelling. WOuld you pay more than about 2 quid for this? They are starting bidding at 162UKP with a suggested retail price of 500UKP! It's a CD that has been gold plated in a case with a big plaque that says it is one of 500. Are there really 500 people that stupid?
A Post-modern analysis of Lara Croft, also some more. Note that "Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darness" is an anagram of "Derrida abnegates the folk norms".
I noticed yesterday that the Clear Channel logo has appeared on a few of the billboards on my way to work. More insidious taking over of people's minds.
Just checked in on the pole shift guys - still says "PX visible to naked eye by early April". (Only 13 days till teh shift though)
Charts on the Rapture - they know it's upcoming, but they don't seem to be able to agree when though.
Audi-Oh "Sound is converted into infinitely variable pulses of pleasure." How do they do that then?
Make sure you look at the flag-o-rama crap sale page. I would be proud to own rubbish like this.
Whay hay, my exchange has reached it's BT trigger level and we might get and ADSL service! I am prepared to bet however that there will be some technical reason why I can't get it at my house. *sigh*
Hugh Young's Lexicon of Polari (I must admit to thinking that the name for this was Parlari!)
Just got yet another bifurcated rivets tin in a shape that I have not seen before too!! I really must get some pics of them up.
Hmm, well here we are again, back from two weeks on Gran Canaria. I did have Internet connectivity there (much faster than my home connection too), but a) it cost money, and b) I was on holiday, damn it! The lowlights was lots of nasty, concrete, holiday apartments round the coast, all the restaurants advertising "British food with British ingredients" and all the touts trying to get you in to their horrible "British" bars to watch football, the highlights were a trip out to sea to see dolphins (quite amazing really and I am not big on aquatic stuff) and a trip into the interior of the island which is beautiful (in an arid sort of way).
