Listening to a collection of Tony Rice guitar pieces - fantastic stuff with Jerry Douglas, Vassar Clements, Norman Blake, Doyle Lawson and loads of others.
12:47:26
Mac IE users should now be able to see the page rather better - you've lost the search boxes for the moment though and some other things are not quite in the right places..... (if you don't see a difference, flush your cache)
12:46:26
I just installed a test of JAWS the screen reader, and set it to use British English. It's a hoot.
10:14:26
Essential bookmarks for web people (possibly)
10:09:26
Chronicle Future, except it lives in the past (check out the counter at the bottom)
10:08:26
Process Library is very useful

25 April 200521:58:25
Beatifully clear Japanese, weird as hell, but I can make out the words and even understand some of it.

24 April 200520:42:24
desktop rating - Pimp my desktop?
20:22:24
Our pond has loads of newts in it this year. I finally managed to get my onions and shallots planted - much too late though.
10:31:24
Sphere of fear - having never seen the latest SW movies I donlt actually get most of these jokes.
10:00:24
Colorcode - I've seen a couple of references to this recently so I wonder if this is going to be a hot new technology.
09:55:24
Aardvark looks useful. I wonder if it plays nicely with web developer (without which I would entirely lost)?
09:49:24
Fight mannequinism : no idea.
09:39:24
Strange Banana - genertae a random website design. All of them look better than mine *sigh*

23 April 200521:05:23
So what happened? 3 years on and no updates....

22 April 200520:39:22
I see that reading email is more damaging to the brain than smoking dope. Or perhpas I am imagining it. I forget.
15:25:22
This report about swat monkeys has been everywhere, but nobody has yet commented on the mention of "suicude victims" : how can you be a victim of suicide? Blame culture strikes again.
12:52:22
The famous Trogg's tape (*very* NSFW)

21 April 200516:48:21
Someone just sent me a shot of what this page looks like in IE5 on a Mac. Of course if you are trying to read this using IE 5 on a Mac then youw on't actually be able to read this. It's that bad.
12:03:21
Fried Dough (Via GGT&H)
12:00:21
Cake Man Raven - interesting cakes, but judging solely from the photos, his icing technique is not as good as it could be - the BBQ in particular strikes me as poor. (My grandmother was a trained, professional cake decorator so I know what good technique looks like)
10:07:21
Apparently, some hard-of-hearing cardinal voted for "Bottiglia", Italian for bottle, when someone whispered that he should vote for Wojtyla in 1978
09:28:21
Thanks to Lynn for the new graphic at the top. (IE users will currently be experiencing ugliness, but, hey, you should be used to that)

20 April 200522:04:20
Nukepirates not people who pirate nukes
22:03:20
A cow with a window (some of the first research on human digestion was done on someone who had a hole into their stomach casued by a musket wound)
16:03:20
Non-IE users should now see a list of date links down the right-hand side.
15:16:20
Yeah, I'm playing with it again. Wan't to make something of it?

19 April 200523:16:19
Google maps manages to miss out my street (OK, my street actually has three names, but all the same...)
23:15:19
Google maps UK - which also features the weirdness that I have seen elsewhere that Gateshead is marked rather than Newcastle.
21:39:19
Some of these are clever and funny, others not so : Stupid Gaijin is good as is Jewelry King, some I just don't get (what is 3 food detectives with pervery neighbour???) and some are on the wrong side of funny
10:13:19
This one will offend - NWA's Straight out of Compton with everything *but* the swearing taking out Definietly NSFW

18 April 200522:06:18
Lovely Broons image (it probably helps to be Scottish and old...)
12:36:18
Adobe buys Macromedia? Flash embedded in our PDFs?

17 April 200518:55:17
BTW has anyone have the routine for that card trick I linked to? Seems to be a lot of double lifts and stuff going on but it is hard to make out. And there are a couple of moves I don't know, or at least I don't recognise. Also does anyone have the routine for Vernon's Twisting the Aces? I worked it out from watching a video of Jerry Sadowitz performing it, but didn't write it down and I've forgotten it now. Some of you must be cardicians!

16 April 200521:24:16
Superbly executed card trick - wonderful technique. The packet he is using, as far as I can make out, contains a single 2, a single 10 and a king of Diamonds and a King of Clubs. I particular like the move where he jumps the 10 out into his palm to show it the fourth time.

15 April 200514:00:15
Tiddly Wiki - very neat indeed.
12:42:15
I wonder if humans will evolve a third arm in order to hold their mobiles to their ears so that they can go on doing things that need both hands?
12:12:15
Having another Keith Jarrett day today.
09:27:15
Interesting idea or email address harvesting scam? (I can always add it to the comments if people want)

14 April 200511:52:14
I was bored with the white so added a subtle stripe. (I really do need to make the page look prettier, but let's face it, I'm not a graphic designer, but remember all the code that you can't see that makes it work is of course beautiful and superb)
09:47:14
RIP Julia Darling - author, poet, playwright and all round good person

13 April 200516:46:13
I hope that all Newcastle and district people have signed up for the local freecycle group.
16:13:13
Having a Keith Jarrett afternoon today. Excellent.
14:38:13
Nipple Huggers??????
13:02:13
Carles Abellan (not sure why the URL is carlos and the site carles)

12 April 200516:55:12
I wonder who watches my share, because most days I don't watch any.
14:02:12
Your ords of wisdom should now be restored. And your words too.

11 April 200516:58:11
Been playing with the look of the comments again, and am planning some new stuff in there too (I'm pinching a spiffy Ajax idea from someone....never accuse me of not being overeager to try the trendy stuff)

10 April 200521:12:10
How normal are you? (35%)
20:58:10
I've just been breaking in a new chimnea and smell of wood smoke.
19:09:10
Good lord, you're a touchy bunch this weekend. I think I'll go back on holiday. (See small comment tussle elsewhere or just ignore this entry)

9 April 200521:37:09
I just gpt caught in this weird set of legal weblogs. Very odd. And boring.
09:50:09
Good Grief - I'd love to see this, though it would probably just depress me since I can barely do a simple pass.
09:42:09
Oh Dear - this kind of thing is incomprehensible to me. (Since everyone was wilfully misunderstanding me, I changed Europeans.....)

8 April 200523:30:08
Advertisers may try some weird stuff with storing data using flash - here is something that will let you turn off storage.
22:30:08
Fake Dr. Pepper - why, oh why, would anyone want to fake Dr. Pepper? It is a vile potion that only people force fed it from birth could love.
22:26:08
I bet I asked this before but can anyone think of any streets in the UK that are named for dates? All over the rest of Europe there are date streets but none that I can think of in the UK (and possibly the USA & Canada???)
22:26:08
Had a good week in Lanzarote - fabulous geology, weather fine, lots of food and drink.
22:25:08
April 6th - won't travel of course because the name is meaningless outside the SA (I assume that it is tax day)
