I saw an article titled Microsoft releases Atlas. First I thought that this was some new map initiative, then I wondered if the earth was suddenly about to drop as the man carrying it put it down. Seems it's some dull .net thing.

Someone on the wireless this morning remarked that "Button got a podiun for the first time this year". I wonder where he keeps them? I suppose they could have said he podiumed which would have been worse. I was watching some snowboarding and was entirely puzzled by the "word" 4-peat which I did eventually understand. After someone had golded of course.

I was doing catching up again last night and watched an edition of the White Heather Club from 1960 that the BBC showed. The WHC was a show that you could not conceive of running now : black and white of course, featuring Scottish country dancing, traditional Scottish songs (and some slightly skiffley ones too), lots of people in kilts and Andy Stewart being a professional Scotsman. The most noticeable thing was how thin everyone was - all the male dancers especially were rake thin.
