Watching Glastonbury on the BBC. The Killers were excellent as were Royksopp (sp?) who I hadn't really heard before and who I am much taken with (my daughter just came in and asked me to turn the sound down....) Didn't go for Babyshambles, Bloc Party or the Doves much and I was rather unimpressed by the White Stripes - the only word I can come up with is "amateurish" but that's probably unfair. I suspect if you didn't Fat Boy Slim was a bit dull. KT Tunstall's BBC studio version of Black horse was rather good.

Caught a bit of White Stripes, i think you were being kind. i think rubbish is more like it,

Martin.

Yeah, I'm wondering what all the fuss is about. Sophomoric is the word i'd use. The pairing up of Jack White and Loretta Lynn on her "Van Lear Rose" (sp?) album was one of the most shockingly underwhelming experiences of all time! Yikes!

did you catch The Tears? Not my sort of music personally, but I was mighty impressed by the way the guy was playing.

And as for KT Tunstall, I saw her play in Blakes Coffee shop on Gray Street in December last year. She played about 7 songs solo (with the Akai Headrush) and blew me away, seeing her with the band whilst superb it didn't have the amazing quality of seeing music been produced by only one person! Still, we now have tickets for her playing the Carling theatre!

Still, mighty chuffed I was watching from the comfort of my home not in the tent!
