Freaky

That sent chills down my spine even though I rember reading about similar social experiments.

Exceptionalism is also a scary and pervasive concept right right now. This is a reminder of what awaits down that road.

connection to another book?

This is amazingly like <a href="<a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0440993717/qid=1121485981/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-3101789-5360139?v=glance&s=books"">http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0440993717/qid=1121485981/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-3101789-5360139?v=glance&s=books" target="_blank">The Wave, a young adult novel by Todd Strasser published in 1969. I'm wondering what the connection is.
<

This material is of the type that causes you to take a deep breath when you finish reading it.
I can't help but feel that this experiment is already
taking place, but on a massive scale, during which the desperately needed voice of dissent is only a whisper.
The people of the world that don't live in oppressed societies are taking too damn long to wake up and get
a clue. Along with the power to elect to government is the power to remove from government anyone making decisions detrimental to their country and it's citizens.
It is that power, that right, that people should now be taking advantage of, or the experiment continues.
