Was it originally two separate photos that the printer combined for the final print? Marvin looks too much older<br> than Newman, when actually he wasn't.<br> <br>

Pity the thumbnail is too small to get a sense of the photo.

No not a montage - they are leaning against wall in Pinewood studios on the set of the McIntosh Boys. Yes, the small size does not do justice too the image - when you see it as a silver gelatin print at the right size it is really incredible.
