also his 'Ou est le Garlique' is a gem. The back of Len Deightons 1960s paperbacks said (paraphrased)<br /> <br /> "one day, long-legged girls in miniskirts will read his words aloud to jazz poetry fans in nightclubs"<br /> <br /> A prediction which I fear has alas NOT come true.
