Shotgun - must be a transpondian thing since I have never come across anyone doing it here.



Comes from the Old West, when stagecoach drivers would have someone "riding shotgun" beside them to repel bandits.

may be it is more common in the US Midwest. Almost all kids who have siblings will use it.

It's a stupid game here in the states. There are all sorts of rules specific to where you grew up. The idea is to try and get the seat next to the driver. As if that means anything. Miss Daisy didn't need it.
