I was changing the strings on my mandolin last night and I decided that there has to be a market for a string changing service : someone who'll come round to your house and do all that horrible and tedious stuff, and probably give the instrument a good clean as well. After all, people with pianos all use piano tuners so why not? So long as the changer didn't play better than you it would fine.
Not such an outrageous idea. My mother, tells me that during her childhood in Germany, someone came around once a week to set and wind all of the clocks.<br />Len<br />
