Good...?

Good in terms of the music, or the article itself?

I'm slightly surprised that they needed to do this in order to discover that commuters on the way to work will largely ignore street musicians, street theatre or anything else that is going on around them, regardless of skill or quality. The fact that those people who did stop either seemed to know they had some time to spare, or recognised the performer (in the last case) speaks volumes to me. At the end of the day, responding to the question "Why are you late for work?" with the answer "Oh, I stopped to listen to a famous violinist." is likely to earn you a high-ranking spot on the "First against the wall when cuts are needed" list and the job-retention equivalent of a Darwin Award.

Welcome to the modern western world Washington Post. It may not be a nice place, but that's the way that things are at the moment.
