Thank you all for your good wishes. We had a very simple funeral where I read the first quote on this page as my father had written this out many years ago (when he was working as a lamplighter!) and saved it.
<p>That's a lovely quote - never seen it before but there's a real truth in there.</p><p>I saw your entry on here back on the 2nd and tried half a dozen times to come up with a suitable comment that didn't just sound trite or banal or cheesy or whatever.
