Hmm, well here we are again, back from two weeks on Gran Canaria. I did have Internet connectivity there (much faster than my home connection too), but a) it cost money, and b) I was on holiday, damn it! The lowlights was lots of nasty, concrete, holiday apartments round the coast, all the restaurants advertising "British food with British ingredients" and all the touts trying to get you in to their horrible "British" bars to watch football, the highlights were a trip out to sea to see dolphins (quite amazing really and I am not big on aquatic stuff) and a trip into the interior of the island which is beautiful (in an arid sort of way).
