I'm trying to find out about a television programme from the sixties that I vaguely remember - its theme tune was "Catch us if you can" and was about some people who lived in a camera obscura. I thought it was called after the song but TV Cream has no entry under that name. (Mind you TV Cream has no entry for the Big Pull which is another series I remember from my childhood and I know that one existed)

which camera obscura? surely not the one in the high street by the castle esplanade?

the websites on the east-german imported TV series which the beeb got to counter-balance the US dominated by-ins is fantastic.

I vaguely remember something... two guys with string bodies and wooden heads? In french, I think it was called "Filippo et Patafil". Couldn't find any links though...

No, it had real people in it. A group of young people who lived in the camera obscura.

And, no, not the one in Edinburgh - you are confusing this with Carotid Cornucopis by Sir Sydney Goodsir Smith which is about an auk (I think) who lives in the outlook tower. A book most people are unlikely to have heard of, let alone read.

Could it be "Quick before they catch us", BBC 1966?

Action TV Online

Synchronicity - I was just looking at that site. Nothing there though.
