Hamster coats again - can someone explain why hamster coats are more inhumane than any other furcoat?
Maybe it's just the sheer number of hamsters required - they are pretty small. I shouldn't think their fur is that nice for a coat anyway. Give me chinchilla any day!

Maybe its because hamster are pets, so its like a coat made out stolen children pets.<br /> <br /> Personally, why make a coat out of something you could <a href = "http://www.cultofbob.co.uk/hamster/">eat whole</a>?

Hamster pelts? This has the strange feel of an urban legend or scam, like washing and then drying your hamster in a microwave. I won't believe it until I see a coat for myself!

the ermine, the house of lords furs, they are made from essentially 'small' furry creatures aren't they? I suppose pine marten is big, but isn't ermine just a poshed up name for weasel or stoat? they are tiny enough to go through wedding rings.. <br /> <br /> I'd be more interested if hamster is nice on the skin. I admit to finding the rabbit fur on the edge of my 'too young to be a mod' parka in the 60s and 70s very very comforting, much more so than its fake fur alternatives. nothing soaks up spit and drool as well as rabbit..<br /> <br /> -George
