they seemed pretty damned funny when I was 9 years old......now they seem abusive and old
Lynn
being turned off by the abusiveness of the three stooges is like protesting bugs bunny cartoons for violence. people are hysterical.
Absolutely. Funny then; funny now (but Curly Joe, not so much)

I'm surprised they classified this as a difference between men and women and not USA vs UK/rest of the world. American humour consists of falling about, UK humour is punny or has a punchline twist in the tale. USAians (often) can't follow a joke that takes more than 30s to tell. Or, because of their "Fonix" spelling unskills, don't get the puns because, ...wel.. er, they just don't GET it.

thats a bit of a stereotypical/generalised view tbh

I have to admit I never found them funny, which made me an outcast in their day. I just never did get it. But the article is totally useless and doesn't even answer the question posed in the headline.

Len

Bugs Bunny is still funny Jess...and for every style of comedy, you will find a counterpart on each side of the pond....
