Co-incidentally, I was indeed in Washington D.C. and saw this exhibition last week. Rather nice (especially the paintings, rather than just the usual woodblock prints). One thing not mentioned in the article is that the gallery has a policy of not loaning works, so some items were not seen in other locations to which this exhibition has toured.
