Why can't you buy sandwich bags that are not made of plastic? it really annoys me.

Matt

Good find, but they are a bit big for sandwiches (and I'd rather use something made from renewable materials)

Lindsay

is there a site like that in the US?

I'd love to use wax paper bags but you can't buy them anywhere round me that I've found (and I recall a few years ago when I did find some they outrageously expensive)

Sandwich shops

Must get their paper bags from somwhere, have you tried a cash and carry?

G

Use aluminum foil. You can recycle it.

try this

what's wrong with a sealable sandwich box?

Biodegreadable

Bidegradable is a marketing term. Most people don't realise that it only works if you compost it, if it goes into landfill the environment means it will be there for decades.

How about going into you're local greengrocer and asking if you can buy a pile of brown paper bags from them? Ok they're not waxed but they should do the job as long as you dont have a particularly wet sandwich.
