I have been getting complaints. About the lack of titles on the RSS feed. Of course, I don't have titles anywhere. Do people want titles? Or perhaps I should just randomly generate things and drop in the title field? I could do clever things like grabbing the title from the page that was linked and using that. Is there a call for this sort of thing? Inquiring minds want to know.

don't bother with title, maybe just take the first few chars from the description?

Don't bother with the titles. With any other site the lack of titles would be a problem. For this site, it is part of the charm.

I don't click YouTube links unless I get an idea its worth my time. If you don't put a descriptive title in, at least even a minimal one, I don't bother clicking most of the time, mainly because I've found YouTube slow to load recently.

Depends on what you think defines this kind of site. Do you want us to click *every* link you submit? Because labelling them 'hmm', 'odd', 'good grief' kind of suggests you think the audience is hanging on your every word. That's not necessarily a good assumption. Sometimes I'm just passing thru, frazzled, looking for brain fodder, not wanting to trawl thru 'em all.

Sometimes its part of the charm, sometimes its a pain in the arse, quite frankly. But its your site. What do you want it to be? Will you, yourself, look back on the archives in months or years to come & know what the link was, or even if it still functions? If it was me, I would be putting in something a little bit more facilitating to memory, just for my own sake.

my 2p

I think titles would be good. Would certainly help when searching to revisit a previous blogged link.

Of course I want you to read every single link. Of course everyone hangs on my every word. It's obvious. Sheesh

As for archives, if the link is bust who cares what it was!

OK, you win!
