Hah (via presurfer) - the Kenwood in the first ad is exactly like the one we have (it was P's mother's)



<p>the blender goblet weighed a ton! you could mince a brick in it. the potato peeler bowl, lined with sandpaper grit and with a rubber gasket was my favourite attachment, the spuds came out distinctly furry but undenyably peeled. The steel mixer bowl we had was covered in warty nobs from the beater hitting it, especially the &quot;K&quot; mixer which was cast aluminium from memory. the ballon whisk was pretty meaty too. </p><p>the kenwood is the chain-gun of mixers. it makes anything else, especially if it has polycarbonate plastic bowls, feel like a kids capgun by comparison. mind you, when the fridge vibrates in sympathy with the motor, you know you&#39;re using up some serious wattage..<br /></p>
