What is being done is far beyond this quaint paradigm of limits....I would suggest a little background on even nanamachines will reveal how the concept of AI is of little importance when you can use existing bio-dynamics and exploit the information storage structure. Example: using viral RNA to build specific chemical nano building machines..which is being done today...Mind Control technology, the kind you will see in the OLIN Foundation funded UCLA Neuropathology Center, involves creating simple interfaces between synthetics and biology. The cool part is the only time you and I get to hear about that stuff is when the media pretends that this research is solely for making the blind see or the deaf hear again...silly!
