Why did nobody tell me that the dcabin joke comes from Gravity's Rainbow??
<p>I don't think Pynchon invented this joke. I think it pre-dates the book by many manyyears, inside the schoolmaster-of-arithmetic community.</p><p> As do all the "in britain, there is at least one cow, one side of which is black" jokes and the "invert the cage with respect to the lion" jokes <br /></p>
